I started a project about a year ago that I am still working on. I am working through the Federalist Papers and doing more than just reading them. I am adding footnotes of my own to the text. If there is a word of which I didn’t know the definition, I looked it up and included the definition from the 1828 dictionary (the earliest edition currently available) which gives a more accurate idea of what was meant by the word at the time it was written. If I disagreed with what was said, I added a footnote and explained my feelings. If I felt strongly about something that was said, I added a footnote. I think you get the idea.
